Municipal Endorsements

You can be endorsed by our organization if...

You have publically aligned yourself with the Democratic Party, and have voted in the last two Democratic primaries or runoffs, (unless you were reasonably unable to do so).

To be endorsed, you need to...

Fill out our candidate questionnaire and submit it to the Endorsements Committee by September 14, and, if necessary, meet with the Endorsements Committee via Zoom.

After you've done that...

The Endorsements Committee will make recommendations to the organization's membership. The organization may reject the recommendations made by the Endorsements Committee or accept the recommendations by a two-thirds vote. Recommendations adopted are considered organization endorsements.

About fairness...

Officers who have publically endorsed or are affiliated in any way to a campaign or candidate may not be part of the Endorsement Committee process for that office. Failure to recuse will result in that officer's removal.

Forums? Meetings?

We may ask you to participate in a forum or meet with our membership before an endorsement vote. This is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the Endorsements Committee.
