Matthew Gardea joins the Executive Board as policy director

The Board readies the organization for the November election

Matthew Gardea, newly appointed policy director

The El Paso Young Democrats today announced that Matthew Gardea was appointed by the president as policy director of the organization, with the unanimous consent of the Executive Board. Matthew, a senior at Horizon High School, is a statewide debater and a newly announced Terry Scholar.

"We're excited to have Matthew on the Board," J.J. Martinez, the El Paso Young Democrats' president offered, "I am confident that Matthew will lead our organizations' policy efforts as we work to elect Democrats in El Paso, our state, and our nation."

Matthew will be attending the University of Texas at El Paso, pursing a business degree in business administration in the upcoming Fall Semester.
